Hi

I am just returning to Switzerland having been in the US for the last 3 years and so am setting up my tv/home cinema from scratch. I am buying a Sony KDL-46EX720 3D tv that I intend to connect it to a Sky HD box,Blue Ray player and a Yamaha YSP 4100 or 5100.

1. Which Yam will be more suitable for a 46" tv?

2. I have been advised that I should buy something that is HDMI 1.4, but the Yam appears to be 1.3a - I have no clue what this infers and whether it's a problem?

3. Seeing as TV specs change every 5 mins I have no clue whether this tv is the equivalent spec of the EX713 that I see in your Aug mag?

Thanks for any and all help!

The most important addition with HDMI 1.4 is the ARC (Audio return channel), this means you TV can supply audio back to your amp for example, a killer feature for example if you plug something directly into you TV and want sound through your hifi setup.

Also it included support for ethernet over hdmi connection and some more 3D functions.
