Having just got the S760 BD player it has given me a better view of what is being delivered by the broadcasters of HD TV
No doubt that Sky are way ahead of the pack in terms of content, but what of PQ, I think it is pretty damn good especially with live OBs
Watching the golf Sunday night, the picture was truly superb, yes 1080p 24fps resolves better, but wow HD tv is good
As is football and cricket on Sky, their news channel in HD is mostly pretty good, again external to the studio in live broadcasts seems best, Eurosport is superb, and virtually all the HD movie channels do a good job (and with DD 5.1 in most cases).
Messrs BBC and ITV need to up their game, although the beeb is now allegedly doing something about it's HD broadcast bit rate.
