Ha! Gotham GAC-1 review........

Nahh just kidding. I brought the Gotham and now i use this cheapo (i think) "THOR CABLE" something or other which i've had for ages as its not as bright. To be honest its so cheap have a bash and if you dont like it you've not exactly lost the world.

Well, I would say for most people your review equates to exactly that. I am not knocking you for telling us what you thought, the opposite, but what I would advise people to do is to try it if the usual suspects of cables in the double digit price range don't do the trick or if you're just after a cheap basic cable upgrade. I would anticipate that in a sympathetically matched system no one would guess the price of this product. Just my opinion as usual.

We've got a one-star review of a product from a major manufacturer in our next issue, and we didn't come to that decision any more lightly.

Yes, understood absolutely, and it of course has made me rethink whether I need to jump again on that "merry-go-round" I described previously. I still stand by my statements (and will continue to) that I've compared the Gotham to (admittedly fairly modest) Chord and Cambridge cables and heard no benefit in the branded ones, but you must realise that nobody who reads the magazine and doesn't frequent these forums will ever buy Gotham now

Quite looking forward to that one star review now though.....

Great, I feel the review is much fairer now and people will have a clearer picture of the idea behind Gotham. I'm pleased to see our say on the forums doesn't go unnoticed, I'm sorry for being involved in the fraca, I usually avoid cable discussions but I felt I had to say something this time.
