Great Packages found - choices and need help for musical note on Package

Hi all,

2 offers - the well acclaimed Yam 863 - and the RXV1900.

The package is offered at:

RXV1900

+ Q Acoustic 1010i £1150

+ Bose AM10 £1400

DSPAX863 with the same speakers above £900 & £1200 respectively.

I am sure suround sound on both will sound awesome as your reviews stipulate - however i am still to get advice for a good all round musical stereo capabilities and i may be worried the speakers might be too small.. (on both). unfortunately they only sell these speakers there. I am trying to book a demo with local shop but none stock the yamaha and i am worried to take the dive without listening to the amp and speakers together.

So advice from the pros who have experience and listens to a few set-ups with this amp to get best of both worlds for surround and stereo music.

I am still trying to stay around the £1k mark all in.

How about -

YAM 863 + Monitor Audio BR Series = for £1176?

Will this give me a good musical sound that i am looking for? --

Or should i just forget to conbine both - and buy a secind hand Amp, like an Arcam Alpha 8 or 9 for £150 2nd hand - and connect it to the AV amp as i have read here?
