Getting Sky recordings from sky box to storage

I have sky hd (Dec 08 install) plus Sony KDL-40W4000 & Sony DAVIS 10. can anybody tell me what is the easesist & cheapest way to archive recordings from the sky box to either a hard drive (via usb ?) or some other method as there are programes i wish to keep but dont want them tying up space

I use Scart out to my old Panasonic DVD Recorder. ÿIt's very simple, although the results are only SD - I think you can transfer in HD to a PVR, but that's expensive and it will, itself, soon fill up! ÿThe latest Panasonic is on Amazon at £137.

I too use scart from my skybox to my Panasonic dvd recorder.

Just make sure your dvd recorder is set on the right channel which is AV2 on mine.

You cannot change channels whilst recording or you will end up recording whatever channel you change to.
