There was once and may still be, a product called Discwasher, which was good. I think that hot temperatures and the LP are not compatible! If only it were so simple....

Get the dog to lick it clean for you. Bob's yer uncle.

Don't use a cat; their tongues are too raspy and can damage the fine grooves. But a dog works a treat.

I've actually see someone try this. The result was lots of wavy melty plastic things resembling clams.

I don’t own a dishwasher but don’t they have a cold cycle or something?

We did have one guy who no longer posts here who swore by a magic eraser sponge. But there was loads of other evidence to suggest he was generally a nutcase, so seeing none of us ever tried it from his dubious recommendation, it's either the cheap solution the whole world has been waiting for or it totally wrecks your records. If you feel like potentially sacrificing one of your records to give us a definitive answer, go right ahead.
