Ladies and Gents,

Thankyou for your previous input.

I am now at the stage were I will be purchasing either a Panasonic TH-42PZ85B or Pioneer 428XD.

My next question is what do I need to take full advantage of the two TVs above.

I take it purchasing Sky HD is a cert.

My son has a PS3 is this an adequate DVD / Blue Ray player if not recommendations please.

What else would I need cabling?

All input would be appreciated.

I do have a budget but I prefer good compared to mediocre and am prepared to pay for it.

Once again thanks.

Take Care,

John.

you would need a HDMI from PS3 to TV (unless you have a home cinema system) and if you got Sky HD another HDMI from that to the TV.

And yes the PS3 is a very good Blu Ray in my opinion, not better than stand-alone players but its not worth investing in a stand-alone player if you have the PS3

Hi, I own the TH-42PZ85B,Sky+,and a PS3 on its way
You Will need a Hdmi cable for each of the sources your connecting to your tv.
i know the panasonic has 3 hdmi ports so you will have no problems there.
If your connecting Sky+ you will need a good quality Scart.(sky hd has a hdmi port)

Make sure you buy good-quality HDMI cables. Chord Company's excellent 1.3 Silver Plus HDMI (£83) is our current Award winner and well worth the money. It will give a real performance boost to your system.
