Freesat Confirms Olympic Stream Channel Numbers (151 - 174)

Freesat have confirmed the 24 Olympic streams will be on channels 151 - 174 (for both SD and HD boxes) and will be added to the EPG on 25th july

Thanks for this; I'd only heard about Freeview so far.

Hi daveh75 or anyone else i already have these channels on freesat ready to broadcast also on the epg, but i was just wondering, i also have a bbc olympics channel on 150 making the number of channels 25, is that correct or have i got something wrong.

Yep that's correct. The 'channel' on 150 is a live/upcoming event guide for the 24 streams.

The BBC don't show the Paralympics, they're on Channel 4, so (I'm guessing) it's edited highlights only, much like previous years.

C4 are providing 3 dedicated/extra feeds (3 SD and 3 HD) for the Paralympics on Sky/Freesat/Virgin. 1 aditional feed on the Red Button for Freeview.

As well as coverage on C4/More 4 and via their dedicated Paralympics website

Sky provided the capacity for the 24 feeds on satellite by clearing some BO feeds, redundant capacity and temporary leasing extra TPs, the Olympics are over so they'll want that capacity back...
