Andrew Everard:Done - but that's not the avatar problem. Email your picture at whathifi@haymarket.com, with your username and the word 'avatar' in the subject line, and I'll upload it for you

Hi Andrew, thanks for that. What I had meant was that you had already set my account up as iPhone friendly. Either way, many thanks for sorting this out for me.

Sorry to drag this thread up - I did e-mail but not sure if it got through - can my account be set to work with an iPad? Would make it nice and easy for me over the next few days.... cheers

Unfortunately, when I now log in on my iPad, it tells me I'm banned until April 22nd 2010!! I'm currently posting from another users PC, which is fine - any ideas?!

OK, the banned thing comes up first, but if I click on the forums section, I can still view as normal, which I have been able to from my iPad - still can't post though - I've tried logging out then back in....

Cleared cookies - logged back in - still the same unfortunately. Shouldn't it look different to normal? I expected it to look like just basic text rather than the normal 'flash' version that's normally seen.

I'm glad it's not just me who got this problem! That's what happened to me briefly when I first had my account made "iPad compatible". It cleared after a few hours in my case...

Well yes that will work, since the rich text editor is also javascript - however, it breaks an awful lot of the rest of the site.

And I'm not sure how the banning thing would be affected...

I've just noticed that you didn't have the rich text editor turned off (thought I read that you did). Can you try it again for me (with javascript turned on again)?

Well, not from the product launch - there was no wi-fi or 3G

But works fine in real world (rather than 38 floors above London) - and no need to turn off the Rich Text do-dah, neither....

Now if you'll excuse me, I have Angry Birds to start all over again in Android version
