Focal Electra 1007be

Despite only having just bought some Proac speakers I found myself drawn like a moth to a flame to the lovely looking Focal Electra 1007be.

I'd rate this as a six and a half out of ten on the serious interest scale. Second hand prices with stands seem very reasonable but I can't find much info and my nearest dealer is a long way away. Obviously I'll need to have a good listen before buying but anyone had any first hand experience that I can get excited about until I do? I think What hifi have reviewed but I can't find it here.

I do love the sound I have now.

But imagine if this sounded better!

Is this what happens with hifi as a keen interest if you're not careful?

AND I've seen some for £1300 as new with stands. Not a bad saving on the £3k rrp!

Yeah, this is what happens. Difficult to kick but the bank balance, or lack thereof, can help. Never heard the Focals but I'm sure they'd be a wonderful step from the Proacs.

Looking at the spec they might be a bit bigger than I ideally want. Nothing a complete room layout change won't cure I guess...
