Hello everybody, in my country there's a fash deal for the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0: 99 EUR (85 pound).Actually I use the SoundMagic E10 in-ear with the smartphone (Galaxy S3), but at home I also have an amp with the headphone input (Marantz PM6004).Is it a good upgrade to buy the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 at that price? It's a tempting offer, but can I hear the difference in the daily use with only the smartphone? And with the combo DACMagic + Marantz? Thanks for your suggestions, I am a noob about headphones.

Is it the on-ear or around-ear (ignore "over ear" which does not clarify which one)

Awww.... it's the on-ear model. I didn't know there are multiple versions. Is it worse right?

Anyway, my dubt is that this headphones are good for portability, but not much audiophile. Any suggestions/alternatives?

Isn't that twice the price of the OP's budget?

That is a very good price for the Momentums. normally they would be approx double that price, and then you are in the territory of the Beyerdynamic T51 http://www.son-video.com/Rayons/Casque-Hi-Fi/Beyerdynamic-T51P.html

Possibly. But sometimes it's good to stretch the budget. Headphones are the most important item in the chain because 1) They are directly pumping sound into your ears, 2) they have irregular freq. responses, unlike amps and music players, and 3) they cost a fraction of what everything else costs, including the music.
