Hey
Just spoke to a nice guy at PS3 and he said you can have files bigger than 4.5gb on FAT32 and then you can play HD stuff on ps3.

I advised oh I already re-formatted my external HDD to NTSC, he advised oh, you cant do it then, as this needs to do it from the manufactuer and MS will re-format it back but only to a file size of 4.5gb for each file, so that makes my 10gb files usless on the PS3.

Is there a way of getting around this: to use FAT32 on the PS3 and have a 10gb file ?

Thanks guys

It is rumoured that PS3 uses a version of exFat on internal HDs with a max filesize of 512 TiB (512,000GB)

FAT 32 has a file size limit of 4gb, and theres NO way of getting around that

The PS3 has its own type of formatting going on (not found out what yet), but ive seen people put files bigger than 26Gb directly onto the PS3s internal hardrive
