Hi, sorry its a friend again.
He got new cable at the bristol show, where he was also advised by soemone from Q acoustics or Onkyo not to bother with banana plugs. So he has cut all the cable back and is running the microphone test again (as he also got some advice there about setting up the sub properly) with the onkyo 506, and one of the rears is showing a fault. The rear cable isnt new (but as i say he has removed the bananas and cut it to expose the wire), however, he says he has checked the cable for damage and checked the connections best he can, and even swapped the rears around. the fault is still flagged up.
Any ideas?
