This is actually funny if you've watched Futurama (but confusing if you haven't!). I appreciate you staying in role.

I've ordered you a replacement humor chip from MomCorp as yours seems to have developed a fault.

Send it back, it's not needed: there's nothing even mildly amusing in your abusive behaviour, nor that of your cartoon stablemate, who appears to have signed up within about half an hour of you.

Changing your electricity supplier can also make a difference.

I sincerely hope you're joking. If not, I would read up on how national grids work before posting nonsense.

If you read the whole thread you will probably realise why your comment is unnecessary.

I was getting fed up listening to the radio in the car and a friend suggested I burn some CD's. I followed his advice and now have serious smoke damage to my living room. Never listen to so called friends.

I was starting to worry that the humourless were going to ruin this thread, fortunately it seems to be back on track. *biggrin*

I understand what you're saying, but you can't really blame your friend for your utter stupidity. Burn them outside!

...and now I can't fit all the bits in my CD player.

After being advised to get a new speaker for my house you can imagine my disappointment when the only noise that came out of it was "Order, Order".

I’ve been reading this thread with interest and will be following some of the tips suggested here.

But can anyone tell me what to do about my streamer? The manufacturer describes it as providing a ‘bit perfect’ signal, and frankly I find this both surprising and disappointing. I thought the whole point of digital audio was that it was completely perfect and not just a bit perfect. Is there anything I can do to improve its performance?

Replace it with these.

Apparently you only need to fit in 16: any more is a waste of space.

Thanks for that, Spiny! Brilliant idea (though you don't seem to believe in it yourself)! I'll start breaking and tearing my CD collection into 24-bit right away! Hi Rez for all! The free upgrade of the century!

Yeah, that's utter non-sense! Like being a bit pregnant...

Eh, wha... Why's everybody always complaining about me?

They won't listen! Everybody's always in favor of saving Hitler's brain. But when you put it in the body of a great white shark - uuuh, suddenly you've gone too far.

Yawn! But thanks for the confirmation.

I've noticed a new thread on directional cables, and I have to say, I totally agree. I recently bought a directional Ethernet cable that suffers from massive dropouts unless the prevailing wind is from the west. Any ideas how I can solve this, other than creating a machine that can change the weather?

I believe that if you call yourself an Audiophile (maybe get a badge or something) then you automatically gain god like powers that shields you from most well documented psychological effects and also renders most of physics useless. So, once you have your badge, you could then use those godlike powers to make sure the wind is always prevailing from the west and then your will have sound as you have never heard before 🙂

Eat beans and cabbage stew 3 times per day and you will be able ti deviate radio waves, change climate or even rip holes in the space–time continuum.
