I own Dynaudio DM2/6 (the predecessor to Emit 10, and barely any different), as well as Q Acoustics 2020i and Wharfedale Diamond 220. I've tried each with several different amps at different prices.
Quite simply, the Dynaudios are in a different class to the Q Acoustics or Wharfedales, but they are somewhat fussier about partnering amplification. They show potential with an amp like a Denon PMA-720ae or similar, and you can hear the promise of the drive unit quality, but to really show what they can do they work best with an amp that has a toroidal transformer, strong current delivery and a relatively neutral sound. The two most affordable amps I've heard make the Dyns sing are the Exposure 1010, and the Rotel RA-01 I'm using now. Whereas with a PMA-720ae, the Dynaudios can be a bit soft in the bass and suffer from overhang/boom, with the Rotel in the same room and same positions, they sound really tight and controlled but with plenty of weight to tunefully and convincingly reproduce bass guitar, double bass, piano, and the lower strings of an orchestra.
By comparison the QA 2020i sound very nice for their price, and flatter almost any amplification, but they don't get to the heart of the music or really accurately describe the tonal qualities of instruments or voices. The Wharfedales are excellent but just don't have the depth or tonal honesty of the Dyns.
