You need to have the latest firmware (3.52) installed.. once thats installed if you connect the ps3 to a 3d compatible tv it should pop up a message saying its found the 3d tv.. and you follow the onscreen prompts to enable 3d playback.. if you are connecting via an amp/receiver thats only hdmi 1.3 compatible you may have issues.. if it doesnt work try connecting the ps3 to the tv's hdmi port directly.... in some intances if the ps3 doesnt recognise the tv, you may need to go to settings on the ps3 - and video.. and choose 'automatic'.. this should prompt that a 3d tv has been found and bobs your uncle.. the 3d is applicable to all ps3s.. a slight limitation with the ps3, is that while watching 3d blu-rays you cant get full lossless audio decoded by the ps3.. this is a slight trade off.. but in reality.. with the number of 3d blu-rays out there.. its not going to be a deal breaker... i have my ps3 connected directly to my tv via hdmi with optical to my receiver for audio.. that gives me up to DTS core quality sound.... i use my blu-ray player for most blu-rays.. so the sound limitation is not an issue for me..
sorry for the long reply.. .. could have probably kept it shorter!
