Dolby Atmos encoded blurays

I was interested in purchasing a bluray today (Sully). I noticed it appeared to be encoded only with Dolby Atmos. (It did have Dolby Digital, but only in English Audio Described).

Has anyone had experience trying to play such blurays on older non-Atmos AV receivers? Is there a DTS-MA layer they're not mentioning? Before buying I was keen to know whether the disc would play at all. My AV receiver can cope with high-res (Dolby HD / DTS-MA) soundtracks but not Atmos.

Atmos sound tracks playback fine on my system in just 5.2 so I am sure it will be fine to use it as is without an additional specfic non immersive format sound track

All Dolby Atmos discs have Dolby True HD as the base layer, which is what you will get in a non-Atmos setup.
