Any of you guys ever felt like posting your system up on youtube.

While checking out the PMC 24's I came across a few video's demonstrating their kit, most playing accoustic/female vocals. Now while you can't judge what a system will sound like I found it interesting ref the general idea of what a system may sound like, considering most of the videos are set in a domestic setting.

The most impressive one funnily enough was a NAD set up with a pair of Kef l50's....lol.

I know, I still think they're as ugly as sin, but they sounded full bodied compared with the likes of the PMC's which sounded top heavy, but its hard to tell what they'd sound like 'live' was listening for seperation and clarity - the bass is really hard to reproduce it appears and the Kefs suprised me.

anyhoo, may just tidy up around my speakers and make one of these videos - ( couple days off and a front yard and back yards calling my name)

Smaller speakers generally sound better on youtube videos because the bass with larger speakers distorts the microphone input and the auto limiting of the video camera cuts in muffling the sound .

There are always exceptions though :)

How do you think they are going to find you then? :?

Why the EDITED have you posted it in 'Hi-Fi' section when it should be on here: http://www.whathifi.com/forum/off-topic-and-miscellaneous

Or even better, the bin.

Quite easily apparently, a few years ago a member of this forum emailed me on my private email address with my full name and address after I upset them (I know, what's the likelihood of that happening?). I told them any time they wanted to come visit I'd be more than happy to entertain them, after a fashion...

It's even easier now that Youtube requires a Google+ login as your real name is all over the videos, eh Matt?

It's the main reason why I've never put any pictures of my gear on here. That and the fact that most of it is pony...

Blimey. Presumably, you're now off to ask that question in several other threads...

Must have been a bit scary! Do you post a lot on other forums then?

Have done, and WHFI moved it.

No point having all these different sections if the majority of topics are chucked in the 'Hi-Fi' section.

Surely no-one looks in different forums and sub-forums any more.

Just use this ...

http://www.whathifi.com/forum/latest-posts

... and you see the lot regardless of whether it's in the 'wrong' place or not.

Well, this http://www.whathifi.com/forum/hi-fi/phono-stage-for-clearaudio-concept-sn2-and-martin-logan-motion-40-0 should be in accessories. This should be in TT section http://www.whathifi.com/forum/hi-fi/returning-to-vinyl; this should be in 'Watching/Listening to http://www.whathifi.com/forum/hi-fi/i-love-compact-discs; this should be 'analogue and digital tuner section http://www.whathifi.com/forum/hi-fi/naim-nat05-outdoor-aerial-needed-to-shine

This is just from your first page.
