Refer to the Award 2007, there is a Jamo 5.1 style package including the subwoofer model Sub-200.

The subwoofer alone is sold very cheap. It has 200w built-in amplifier and lowest frequency switch of 40Hz. Very smart design.

For comparison, Wharfedale SW150 doubles its price but less 50w than the Jamo.

Should Jamo Sub-200 win in this situation?

I'd be wary at that price, go and have a look at build quality, and compare it with music with the Wharfedale. I know which one my money's on...

This will all depend on your speakers being used with the sub. I had the Jamo package and upgraded to Monitor Audio RS range speakers. I kept the Jamo sub whilst saving up for the MA sub. The difference in quality with the subwoofer amazed me. I was however pleased with the sound that the Jamo sub gave me - for the money it's a no brainer. I haven't listened to any £200-£200 subwoofers but I sold my Jamo 200 for about £70 on ebay so for value for money, the Jamo is a great option.
