I think, it's only a matter of time the UK Gov cuts off AM / FM transmission
Quite possible.
It's been under discussion for years.
It was once said that when more than 50% of people were listening by digital means, FM would go.
Well they are and it hasn't......yet.

(Of course, if someone is listening by digital means, it doesn't mean they aren't listening on FM too....I was happily doing both).

Between vacuous twats talking, or worse, ads interrupting the music i don't know how anyone can stand to listen to radio... And don't get me started on talk radio!

Its funny you say that, I listened to Wave 105 for years and they had brilliant DJ's / a Team. You'd listen to it as much for the banter between them as you would the music. They got bought by Greates Hits Radio who got rid of 1/2 of the decent presenters and have totally destroyed what made it "special" and now just falls into the catagory you refer to!

Real shame!
