Thank you to everyone who helped me with my problem with the tweeters on my TDL Speakers. I found out the capcitors on the crossover have gone. THank you wimslow audio

Having plugged in a very old Fisher CA35 from 1981. I hate to say this it sounds way better than my Audiolab setup. What on earth is going on. Ditch the audiolab setup and get a new amp or invest in getting in serviced and upgraded. How much would I need to spend on amp to get the same kind of quality. They are both A series Audiolab's so they are quite old but in great condition

I have owned the older 8000 series. And they are great sounding amps. Although, you just found a better match with the Fisher and your speakers. I had the same experience when I compared my Rotel poweramp with a 70's Lafayette tube amp with no more than 8 Watts per channel. The Rotel got totally outperformed by the Lafayette.

Thats why I own a tube amp now
