Distortion In both channels

Hi, I have got a fairly new hi-fi setup with the Cambridge Audio Aeromax 2 speakers and a Yamaha AS-501 Intergrated amp, all was working until last month where some random distortion appeared in the midrange but is only prominant when it hits certain frequencies and is often not there, however when I turn it down it disapears and when I turn it up it dissapears, what could it be?, I have attached a link to a sound file of the system: https://clyp.it/bja4wicd

input distortion rather than output as its there at low levels. Check all connections and turn your input volume down ie the source output.

Thanks, But I have tried that and then moved to the onboard DAC on the Amp but have the same issue only now there is a strange clicking noise that happens every other second, is this pointing towards a faulty amp? because it is only a month old however the speakers are about 3 months old

The amp or part of it, a trip to the dealer will sort it.
