I have a nice budget hi-fi setup includeing the Denon PMA-720AE amplifier paired with a set of Monitor Audio BX2 speakers; however today I noticed the tone controls no longer work for the left channel.
I tested the left speaker wired to the right channel; and sure enough the tone controls (loudness, bass, treble) are dead on the left channel but are fine on the right. The amp is only 10 months old.
Now I don't want to get into the debate that I should not be using tone controls; but I usualy have the trebble at max and the loudness on to make the sound colourfull and vibrent to my liking. What would have coursed this malfunction/breakdown? I also dont have the volume knob past 10 o"clock.
I hope I have not damaged it by pusing it to much?
What shall I do, just replace it as it is still in garantee?
Any help apprteciated; Elliott.
