Hi, first post for a while but just getting back into my hi fi now I am single again :) (the ex did not like my music |( )

I am planing to replace my current system (Philips MCM8 ) with the Denon M38DAB

These are the MCM8s specs

AMPLIFIER
Output power

2 x 150 W MPO 2 x 75 W RMS(1)
Signal-to-noise ratio ≥ 75 dBA (IEC)
Frequency response 50 – 20000 Hz, –3 dB Input sensitivity
AUX/CDR In 500 mV/1V
Output Speakers ≥ 6 Ω Headphones 32 Ω – 1000 Ω (1) (6 Ω, 1 kHz, 10% THD)

1) Will the speakers from the MCM8 be OK with the Denon these are the specs :

SPEAKERS
System 2 way, Bass reflex
Impedance 6 Ω
Woofer 1 x 5.25" Aluminium con woofer
Tweeter Ribbon tweeter

Or would other speakers be better, if so which ones , I listen to mainly rock/metal but also folk and classical and don't like too much bass and the sound from the MCM8 is fine (only replacing as CD player is broke, not a big deal as I listen to most of my music thru my ipod classic via a sound dock)

2) I use a VIVANCO SBX 3T PHONO AUDIO SWITCH to connect my TV/turntable/dock/comp to the phono input on the back of the unit, however the switch only has 3 phono inputs, but also has a 3.5 jack input, so I have connected my TV using a phono to jack connector, the sound seems OK to me but would phono to phono be better for the TV input ( I could use jack to jack on the comp)

Many thanks
