So I've had this Denon M37 for about 5 months now and I'm really chuffed with it except... like many other user (as far as i can understand) I get a lot of hiss from the system. At first I thought it was the cheap cables supplied, however the noise also appears when i use headphones. This is only a problem when I activate the SDB (Super Dynamic Bass) function. I would just not use this function but i feel the sound is a little flat without it engaged. Any ideas? Solutions? I though I might invest in a subwoofer to leave the SDB function permenantly off, but it sort of defies buying a 300+ pound system...

Cheers

Tom

If you play your system without SDB and with all tone controls set to 0 is going to be the best sound quality you can get. Using any extra circuitry is going to produce 'noise'. This will be true of any electronics. Try using the bass control rather than the SDB function, if you haven't already.
