OK so I've decided on the Denon AVC-X4700H amp, but need help selecting a 5.1 speaker package, deciding between the following:

Option 1
Q Acoustics 3050i Cinema Pack

3050i Floor Standers
3090i Center
upgraded Subwoofer to QB12
upgraded 3010i Rears to 3020i.

Option 2
Q Acoustics Concept AV Speakers

Concept 40
Concept 20
Concept centre
QB12 subwoofer

Thanks In Advance

The size of your room is a major factor in deciding on speakers. Floor standing speakers need a lot of space or they will overpower your room. You should probably be sitting at least 12 feet away from floor standing speakers to justify them. In terms of your 2 choices i have concept 20s and a concept centre across the front and they are excellent.
I would choose an SVS SB 1000 or 2000 as a sub instead as they both reach down to 20Hz which will make a big difference.

Bit of an update for you!
So have bought the Denon AVC-X4700H amp now,
Have got given the following for nothing:

Gale
4050C Center
4040 Floor Standers
4x 3010S Satellite

all up and running

What should I buy next, really need a sub

Budget at the moment is ~£1500 so is it worth me getting a packaged speaker upgrade or get individual speakers when the budget allows?

Thx

If it was me i would buy either an SVS SB1000 or SB2000, both reach down to 20hz. You could do a number of things depending on the size of the room:

Buy 1 Subwoofer and upgrade the front 3 speakers (the original concept 20s and center are on offer for under £500). you really don't need floorstanders unless you are more than 12ft from the front 2 in a decent sized room.

Buy a pair of identical subwoofers for even bass across a bigger room and save to change the front 3 at some stage

Either way a subwoofer (s) is a priority
