Looks bloody tasty, tested the Onkyo 607, which ran way to hot for my liking, also the analog video upconversion was rubbish.....plus I like the spec on the Denon as it has Anchor Bay chip for upscaling..hmm

I am also looking at the Sony 2400ES which is back in stock in Richersounds to complement my Sony 550, but the Denon is ticking my taste buds and spec so far....

that will determine which one i will get!!!!! With the expense of my girlfirend nagging in my ear that i dont need it!!

Hopefully the Denon will get a 4* then i'm sold!!

So that test is for which receivers exactly?

Onkyo 607
Sony 2400ES
Denon 1910
Pioneer 1019
Yamaha 765 & 1065

If so then it will be the definitive mid range test of the year and help me hugely in my choice.

I just don't trust the reviews coming from CNet and the likes... looking forward to the new issue!

The forthcoming Group Test covers a tighter price spread than your list (@£400-£550), so includes the Pioneer '919, plus Yamaha '565 and '765 - the pricier Pioneer and '1065 Yamaha will be reviewed shortly, and certainly included (along with other new receiver models) in our Awards judging.
