Copy From Sky+ HD Box To USB...?

Hi folks.

Can one copy something from a Sky HD box to a USB stick or externall HDD as opposed to a recordable DVD player?*

*If so, can anyone give me a rough idea of what capacities would be required for what kinds/lengths of films/programmes?

Nope. The USB port on Sky+HD boxes are disabled.

Why would they do that?

So why would they put one in?

I believe originally they were for factory use, with the possibility of 'Future Use'.

On the first gen HD boxes the USB used to provide power, but on the latest boxes even that's disabled now, so i suspect the USB port will be engineered out of future boxes at some point.
