Connecting CD player to B&W Zeppelin

are phono to 3.5 jack cables directional - can i use one to connect my cdp to my Zeppelin or do i need a special cable?

Should work fine. My Sony micro in my bedroom uses a mini-jack connection as an aux in, which I've used with a mini-jack to phono cable no problem.
