Hi

I have an old set of B&O speakers that go with a turntable I used to have set up. Although I still have the turntable, for the moment I dont have the space to set it up, but I would still like to use the speakers with my media PC (The speakers connect via a din conection, and my PC just has a 3.5mm sterio jack). obviously I would need an amp of some kind to conect them all together.. Im on quite a tight budget, what would you recomend?

Cheers :)

Actually you may not need an amplifier at all - it depends how sensitive the speakers are (how loud they go relative to the power applied).

It may be that the PC soundcard will drive them, even if not particularly loud. I've tried this with 2 or 3 pairs of budget 'hi-fi' speakers and they've been loud enough when sitting at the PC desk.

Can you get any details of the speakers?

I'll try and find out which model they are.. need to dig them out of the loft first. However, I think purely because of the size that they will need an amp.. they come up to just above your knee when standing on end.
