That's where digitising 😱 vinyl comes into its own.
I found that blanket click removal adversely affected the HF but...
There's something very satisfying about zooming right in to see (unmissable) clicks on the waveform....then obliterating them.
Because you're so zoomed in, you take out the click and leave the music intact.

Takes a while, especially if there are several clicks.
If your vinyl track isn't available on CD or streaming.....you may scoff at digitising vinyl, but there's your choice; make it listenable, or store unlistenable vinyl.
Nothing against digitizing vinyl if you have the time and patience to do it but it seems to me if your going to that extreme a download purchase might be the way to go instead of paying for pricy vinyl in the first place

It was more about making the unplayable that you own, playable.

If it's available as a download (or anywhere else) then yes, by all means forget about any thoughts of digitising vinyl 👍

I believe you may have a point, up to a point. If it is badly unplayable I wouldn't be playing it anyway with the risk of damaging the stylus.
If you have a decent cartridge it is perhaps better to simply ditch the disc and buy a replacement.
I suppose you could buy a cheap cartridge purely for the sake of digitizing but that's further outlay.

I plan to acquire a vacuum style cleaning machine pretty soon as I currently have no cleaning solution for my growing record collection and some of them are getting a little grimy. I would simply like to know what are some of the best cleaning fluids to use with these machines? I assume they are pretty similar but I also know that there are many different formulations and brands out there. So what are your favorites? What are the best to use with this type of machine? Thanks
Just weigh up how many records you can buy for £400 plus for the machine against £60 on a Spin cleaner ?? lot of records I would say ?? & then I hear you have to buy the expensive fluid to clean with. So once you have Spin Cleaned your record always us your Static brush every time before/after you play because that will save you money for the day comes to buy records or that machine which must be marvalus .

I bought a copy of an album on a record stand for 6 euro & when I played it back home it sounded rubbish ?? So I have tried all ways to clean it to no avail !! So I bought a Remastered copy !! but I keep trying to clean the bad copy but i think the only way to win is to use a ML or SH Styli which would really get down into the bottom of the groove ?? But I don't have the money to waste an expensive Styli to clean a 6 euro record .. so I would like to know if someone has an easy way to help when someone has this type of problem & not only me. 🙂👍👎
