Have you tried your AV9 in 'analogue stereo' I found it better than 'stereo direct'?

Andy I haven't tried the av9 in either analogue stereo or stereo direct, as it is fed a digital signal from the sonos. I'm pretty sure the dacs in the av9 will be better than the one in the sonos, although I accept I should do a back to back and check! I don't have a cd player.

Cno, I will check that article out, sounds interesting. I cant find anywhere locally that has the arcam on demo unfortunately.

Interestingly, I have been doing some back to back listening sessions between my two systems, and the arcam has all the detail that I get from my Cyrus system, it just presents it differently. Im just not sure which I prefer. I guess that's the advantage to having both, at least I can pick the system most appropriate to my mood/the music!
