Hi everyone,

I recently picked up the Wiim Ultra, and I wanted to share my experience with you all. As an audio enthusiast, I was really impressed by this device, and I think it’s worth considering for anyone looking to upgrade their audio setup. Here’s a quick rundown of my thoughts on the product:

Sound Quality:The sound quality of the Wiim Ultra is outstanding. It supports high-resolution audio streaming, and the clarity and detail it provides are impressive. The bass is deep and full, while the soundstage is wide and immersive. Whether I'm listening to electronic music or classical, the Wiim Ultra captures the nuances of every track. Paired with my home audio system, the results were surprisingly good.

Ease of Setup and Connectivity:Setting up the Wiim Ultra was a breeze. The Wi-Fi connection is stable, and it supports various streaming protocols like AirPlay and Spotify Connect. Even for someone like me who’s not particularly tech-savvy, it took only a few minutes to get everything up and running. The user interface is simple and intuitive, making it very easy to navigate.

Value for Money:Considering the fantastic sound quality and the range of features it offers, I think the Wiim Ultra is very reasonably priced. Compared to other high-end brands on the market, you’re getting similar functionality and performance, but at a much more affordable price point.

Overall, the Wiim Ultra has been one of the best audio products I’ve used recently, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great sound quality and value for money.

Would love to hear from other users who have tried it! Please feel free to share your experiences or ask any questions you might have.
Whether or not the above is effectively a paid advert, it certainly reads like (an AI generated) one.
For that reason, I doubt anyone will take it seriously. Sorry.

speak for yourself. I’ve been looking for something for years that sets a new standard for audio streamers. Especially if it’s designed to provide users with an unparalleled audio experience through versatile functions, rich connections, and high performance. I could only dream of something that offers exceptional value for music lovers who are looking to improve their streaming experience.

I recently bought a WiiM Ultra at full price.
It's an attractive and versatile device. However there are a couple of quirks I wish I'd known about.
First, it supports DSD, but ALL digital outputs are transcoded to 192/24 PCM (I use the USB) The optical and Coax would need to be, but not USB. The DAC is capable of handling DSD natively, so this is one are where cost cutting has been made, as I think this also fits with the ability to stream as a multiroom system.
The second is that it supports Plex, but with it's own implementation. It doesn't have alphabetical shortcuts, so a large library like mine takes a lot of scrolling. It also doesn't support sorting by genre.
Radio support is reasonable and it supports the Radio Paradise app. Bluetooth is solid.
I haven't tried many of it's capabilities, I intend to use the phono feature to archive some LPs and may even use the multiroom sometime, I don't use the streaming services as I have a large library of my own.

Equipment is Audiolab 7000A. Monitor Audio Silver 6, Michell Gyro SE.
