Change to Naim Nait?

Thinking of changing my Arcam Alpha 9 bi - amp set up for the well reviewed Naim Nait 5i(italic)
Looking for an increase in clarity and detail, and the idea of simplified cabling appeals as well as only running one amp instead of two!
What does the "room" think of this idea?

I set out to buy Arcam kit a while back but it just sounded really boring - came home with Naim Nait5i and CD5i which blew me away - and still does 4 years later.

I'd look out for a second-hand pre/power combo--NAC102/NAP140 can be got for ~700-800. Same step up again over the Nait.
