i currently run cds through my sony bdp300 blu ray (which sounds great ) but i want purity of sound any suggestions

Not entirely sure what you're asking. Do you want to buy a CDP for musical use only? If you're looking to just clean up the sound without changing anything else, perhaps you could try the Beresford DAC that comes in at about £100 with a PSU and lead, delivered. It might give the sound you're looking for running off your blue ray player...
