I have only had my new B&W ASW610 subwoofer for less than two days, and the cat has already urinated on it; to be more precise, right in the middle of the membrane/cone.

I let it dry for a couple of minutes, and then my dad wiped the last urin of, that wouldn't dry.

Do you think it has taken damage, or will it be okay?

Hopefully, you'll be ok. I guess it all depends on the quantity of pee involved.

If it's a Tomcat, get it fixed.

Okay, thanks for the replies ^_^

Yeah, I know it sounds silly, but I actually got really depressed when I saw what had happened 😛

Cat urine may be the most formidable smell
known to mankind. While the home remedies are effective in removing cat
urine odor, some people (myself included) simply don't have the time or
the patience for serious cat urine scrubbing. If this is the case for
you as well, let me recommend some products I've found that work great
for cat urine removal. These, unlike the sprays that will do nothing
for you but mask the odor for a few days, have enzymes in solution that
will actually break down stains and odor causing molecules all while
making your life much easier. A good cat urine cleaner will also have
bacteria producing agents that will work continually until the stain
and cat urine smell are gone completely. Simple Solution, Nature's
Miracle, Complete Pet Stain and Odor Remover by 8in1, and Capture Pet
Stain and Odor Neutralizer are by far the most effective products I've
found for cleaning cat urine. Best of all, a super cat urine remover is
very easy to find. Many pet stores and online stores will carry one or
all of these. Now that you know how to clean cat urine, get to work, it ain't gonna clean itself.

hope it helps your cause.

don't worry man, my B&W PV1 got urinated by my dog a couple of times and it's still working great.
yes i know that my sub has a metal driver but the "liquid" did go through to the inside.
i let it dry then swabbed it properly with some cotton buds with alcohol.
make sure you clean it properly or else your cat will smell it's mark and your sub will become it's favorite toilet. good luck.

Oh dear. There are several quips that spring to mind, but I won't divulge.

(Now for something completely serious) It shouldn't hurt the internals, but make sure the urine hasn't faded the wood.

If the cat didn't like the music it only had to hit the PAWS button.

'Sorry Teacher, I couldn't do my music home work, because the dog ate my subwoofer.'

wow - i never realised the world of pets was so much an issue. My fish tank is much less dangerous.

I dont think i will be buying a sub woofer off ebay though !
