I just bought this sony and there 350 BD player, but I noticed when playing Underworld that in the dark scenes that almost 40% center of the screen has a clouding effect but disappears in lighted scenes. I dont think serial numbers match in Canada to my brothers across the sea but this is one of the flagship models. Is there a upgrade fix and if so how do you upgrade? What is the deal with this LCD. Just one more thing if anyone has a sony like this there is a picture, backlight, black level that were set on 100% of course, where do you set yours? Thanks Mike

It's a Sony mate... Excellent manufacturer, but TV's are (imo) not their game.

I drew paycheques from Sony of Canada, got a neat little discount as you pay imagine. Anyway I bought a Panasonic at list.

Don't mean to offend any of the Sony apologists.

Do you know of any updates to maybe correct this?

It's really more of an inherent LCD thing. If low black levels bother you, swap it in for a Plasma before your 30 days are up.
