Yep, it's easy to Googlify Amazon Tablets though. It just requires the sideloading of four apps in the correct order

A bit beyond my capabilities.

Would an Amazon firestick do something similar? Just interested.

I've not tried Google Play store but other apps. And it did work.

What downloading four apps and installing them? Its hardly rocket science.

Something similar to what? A Chromecast Audio?

It supports Spotify connect, and you can access other streaming services if you install Kodi, but it isn't really a convenient music streamer for the simple reason it only has HDMI/requires a TV.

I live in an entirely fruit based houshold so I am not good when I step outside my own area of expertise.

The HDMI thing I understand though

Back to the OP, looks like the Amazon Bluetooth basic is the way to go.

There is an app called the 'usb OTG player pro' in the normal android store. It streams music from your phone via an OTG cable into an external dac. This should solve your problem if it's available on the Amazon store. Will improve quality too

I cannot find that OTG player app on the Amazon app store. I think I might get the Amazon Bluetooth receiver for the boombox and try it on my hi-fi too, if it sounds good enough I will probably get another Amazon Bluetooth receiver for the hi-fi too as this seems like the easiest option, but if it sounds worse than through the headphone socket I will have to think again.
