Cambridge Audio Minx Speakers

Hello,

I've been looking to get my first Home cinema setup. For the amp I've decided upon the Yamaha RX-V667. For the speakers I had decided upon the Minx 215 system. The sales assisant then said that CA also sell the speakers as separates and advised that I could get a Mini 20 as the front centre speaker for improved speech performance. What does everyone think of this?

Hi

If this is what he recommends then ask him for a demo so you can listen for yourself, I'm sure the speaker (centre) that is included in the original package is up to the job otherwise it would be supplied with the larger!!

It can't hurt, for the £40ish difference, but as above I would get a demo if I where you. I had 2 x Min20 as rear surrounds for a couple of weeks and they are great little speakers, I had a demo of this setup with hell boy 2 and it sound very good, great value for money IMO.
