Hello,

a few days ago my Cambridge Audio CXN got a new firmware update.
Usually you see some progress messages on the screen, e.g. downloading this, installing that, etc.
This time instead the display got stuck on "Downloading 90%", it froze for a while, then the unit rebooted and apparently everything was installed ok and apparently the device works.

So my question is: how do I verify if the firmware was installed correctly?
Is a firmware installation a "hit or miss" thing?

thanks
MH

is there no ability in the menu to see what version is installed?

the version reports the "new" number, so, as far as I can see, the installation was indeed executed.

however I don't know if the installation was "atomic": in theory you could mess it up by installing a part of the new firmware.

I would hope that the device has some built-in protection and it will refuse to install soemthing that is "incomplete" or partially corrupt.
