Cambridge audio dacmagic vs new dacmagic

Hi,

I had a lend of an old cambridge audio dacmagic 2i. It improved the sound of my marantz cd63se, smoother more natural and dynamic. Im wondering has any one compared the old dacmagic to the new one - how does it compare soundwise?

As no one has answered with experience of a previous DM I would say try and get a home demo or cash back purchase of the current version and compare the two. The new one clearly has new features but if you're after an external DAC in the sense of when the originals were released, those features will not be of benefit to you.
