Bought a Cambridge Audio Azure 650BD this weekend and a DacMagic to help with the cd playback side of things and although the player is set to LPCM 192khz the DacMagic is showing the incoming signal as 44.1khz but when my Ipod is connected it show's 44khz. How do i get it to 192khz???

Also, can anyone explain the 3 filters, linear, minimum and steep??? I've read the idiots guide and well.........i guess I'm an idiot cos i don't understand it, lol :-s

You can't: the DM can only accept up to 96kHz sampling frequency Linear PCM stereo over S/PDIF, and upconverts that internally to 192kHz.

There's full explanation of what each filter actually does in the manual, but the best advice is that also found there: 'We encourage you to experiment with the filters to determine which sound best to your ears and using your source equipment/programme material.'

In other words, no right or wrong - just whatever sounds best to you.
