I currently have a Cambridge audio Azur 540R AV receiver with my PS3 connected (via TOSLINK) and my computer connected (via S/PDIF coaxial)

i'm gonna be gettin a beresford TC-7520 DAC soon to use with headphones, im just wondering would there be any noticeable improvement in sound quality if i passed my PS3 and computer through the Beresford and then into the AV reciever via dual RCA leads? or is it pointless?

thanks

I think Chebby is an expert on the 7520, but I would say the answer is probably yes. If you're definitely buying one anyway to use with your headphones, then just try it I suppose and see what you prefer!

Obviously if you're using surround sound with the PS3 then this won't be an option and you'll have to stick with the Toslink straight into the 540R.....
