I had in my mind the home cinema system i was going to get, then i started reading forum posts, lots of them, and well peoples comments started convincing me to look at other components rather than all one brand.

So i have finally decided on what i want, the kit is great performance wise and looks fantastic, please leave input if you think some areas could be bettered.

Tv- sony kdl40w4500

receiver- denon 1909

speakers - kef 2005.3

blu ray - sony bdp350/550

rack - atacama equinox av

my rack only has 2 shelves, on the top shelf i will need to put the centre speaker, and probably the sky hd box on the bottom shelf i will put the receiver and blu ray player.

would this system work both in terms of performance and hows its set up on the equipment rack, obviously my centre speaker will be off centre but thats not a big issue is it?

hopefully your input into this will help,if anyone has any.

thank you

Looks like a good set up to me. All have had great reviews and should work together excellently. Do you want to wait til the next mag to confirm you have the Award winners or is the power of Mjolnir too strong ?

previous strong reviews already have me excited so im not too bothered if they are award winners!

but the review for the sony kdl40w4500 is interesting to me due to the 40w4000 strong showing.

whats the best way to set up the speakers? wall mount due to their base or maybe small wall shelving? speaker stands would draw too much attention i think!

the power of mjolnir is very strong! but being that im not a mortal being i think i can hold off till the awards issue just to make sure!

I think thats fine i would look at the Yamaha AX863 SE amp its now £489 at amazon whf reviewed and it had just dropped from £800 to £600 5 star allrounder worth considering and wall mount if possible rears anyway stands always seem expensive as well.

i will check it out and see what the deal is with it.

and it looks like i will wall mount the speakers as well though not sure how to go about it!! stands are expensive indeed and a little bulky for the small room.

so wall mount for defo and ill check out the yamaha thanks for the input

I'm gonna wall mount my fronts and alredy have stands for my rears (mission m cubes) and the stands are not at all obvious. They are ivory and right at the rear/side of the sofa so virtually disappear.
If you go Black then, Od's blood, they will be noticeable !!
