Hi all,
I currently have a 5.1 setup which is about 7 years old, and cost very little (a Cambridge Soundworks decoder/amp with 5.1 speakers) - amazingly good for the price, but soon I'd like to move on. I was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions about how to build up on the stereo system I have at the moment -
- in terms of other speakers I was thinking of adding the monitor audio RSFX, RSLCR and RSW-12, which should be a decent match for the RS6s I already have
- the main consideration is about the receiver/amp - do surround amps have pre-outs so that the stereo amp can deal with the left and right channels? Any thoughts about what might provide a balanced match for my Cyrus amp to drive the other speakers. Is the AV Master any good? Any other thoughts?
I probably don't want to spend more than £2000-£2500 on the whole lot.
Thanks very much.
