Hey guys, I have some vintage DM303's kicking around that I was considering resurrecting, as I've amassed enough equipment over the years to put together a second system.

The DM303's both had their tweeter domes unceremoniously pushed in by an errant, curious child's finger. I did massage them gently back out, but one was horribly creased.

It seems that my options for finding original replacements after 20 odd years is somewhat limited and pricey given their age and I'm not inclined to spend a great deal on the speakers. Similarly, I'm not inclined to buy new domes off eBay as these aren't entirely clear as to whether the material used is identical to that used by B&W (unless anyone can confirm otherwise?).

So after a very lengthy preamble I was wondering, can I swap out some domes from another model from around the time (such as the 602?) and use these instead? I may be able to pick up a bashed up pair of 602s that still have the tweeters intact for cheap. Are there any other B&W speakers from around that time that use the same metal dome as the DM303s?

Thanks in advance

It might be worth a call to B&W themselves. I had a quick look on eBay, and all the DM303 seem to enjoy bashed in domes (!) but I can’t see any others with that circular fitting. I’m sure they exist, and there’s repair kits too but I wouldn’t know where to start!
