I purchased a dvd player and 2 x headrest monitors for my wife's car. It turns out the dvd player is a dud as it doesn't play some basic dvds. The dealer is probably going to offer to replace or refund the dvd player. We have a decent collection of Blu Rays and I thought about installing an entry level Blu Ray player in the car. Is this a good idea? I am concerned that dedicated car dvd players have special mechanisms to cope with bumpy roads, but a regular blu ray player does not. Thanks for your assistance.

grdunn123:It's not really gonna be worth it, as you'll probably be using 8-10 inch screens there's no benefit to having 1080P in car... Agreed - the idea is not so much for the resolution but to be able to play our blu ray collection in the car.

(or rather don't, as it breaks house rules)
