As some amps will allow you to wire up 2 sets of speakers,

Is it possible to wire up one set of speakers using both sets of terminals on the amp?

Say you left speaker going to set A and your right going to set B , kind of like a poor mans bi-amping configuration.

Well no, not quite.

You can use the speaker A outputs to drive the left and right bass, and the speaker B to drive the left and right treble, or vice versa, but that would be biwiring, not biamping, as the two sets of outputs (A/B) are driven from the same amp channel.

Doing it the way you suggest would give each speaker one left channel input and one right, and would sound very messy.

I think what he means is if you have two sets of outputs, to connect the left speakers to the left A channel, and the right speakers to the right B channel, which would have no effect whatsoever, as generally the two sets of terminals (Left A and B, Right A and B)are internally connected (if only by a switch)...

Clearly its bi-wiring and not bi-amping. But ive connected a few amps the way Andrew has said and it has made a difference. Maybe because theres no 'signal crossover' at the inputs?

Certainly worth a try anyways

Yes this is what i meant , after doing a bit of research on this , it seems that it would just be the same as bi-wiring , for bi-amping 2 amps are needed.ÿ
