I'm selling my old Samsung 26" off on ebay but I need to clean the glossy plastic up a bit as it sports a fair few "speckles" of dirt/dust/grime. What would be best without ruining the shine of the plastic?

Ultra-soft (aka optical-grade) microfibre cloths are your best bet - damp (not wet!!!) then dry, as Messiah suggests - in our experience. And our photographer spends a lot of time cleaning our fingerprints off test TVs before he shoots them!

Thanks for the tips. Good thing I stocked up on those micro-fibre cloths then. I knew they'd come in handy one day...

Where do u get a very good microfibre cloth? The one i have seems a little too rough so i dont use it..

Jessops do a good range for cleaning camera lenses - fairly cheap and widely available

Those I used on the Sammy LCD this morning (the telly sold on ebay last night - woop woop!!) came from my favourite dealer. Tesco.

They weren't rough or anything and help do a great job in cleaning up the glossy piano black surface back to its former shine.

Result!

I find for best results to strap it to your car roof & go through a car wash!

& boy does it come up clean , it doesnt work afterwards mind you but it sure looks like new
