Hi all

Was wondering if anyone could recommend a TV for gaming (PS3). Am looking to spend about £500. This TV will be used for gaming only. Am looking for around 26-32 inch set

Have been trawling thru magazines and the two that stand out in this price bracket are:

Panasonic TX26LXD70 and Samsung LE32R87BD

Just not sure sure if they were good for gaming - and if they're not what's the best TV out there?

Thanks

I'd go for the Panasonic. Here's why:

"Its fast screen response means it will suit even gamers, offering ample insight into all those dark caverns where monstrous thingies with sharp teeth just love to lurk!"

What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision, December 2007

The added advantage of the Panasonic is that it'll accept your PS3's 1080p feed natively, without you having to set the Sony to output at a lower resolution (which is the case with the Samsung).

Is it the case then that its better to for your tv to downscale natively than to get your ps3 to do the work? Is this the case for most sources and tv's if so why? I'm looking to get the panasonic TH-37PX70 and PS3 would it be best for the tv to downscale then the ps3?
